Rotate the Mode Dial to S&Q

S&Q Record Setting: 24p | 25p

Set the S&Q Record Setting to:

  • 24p in North America
  • 25p outside of North America

Using S&Q Frame Rate
🧙 The image on-screen will appear slow and choppy while the frame rate is set to 1fps, so use 30fps while setting up the camera.
  1. Temporarily set the S&Q Frame Rate to 30fps
  2. At the very last step, adjust the frame rate to 1fps

Outdoor Color Fix
🧙 Setting a manual white balance can fix color shifts that sometimes occur outdoors and produce more consistent results.

Set the White Balance to C.Temp./Filter and adjust the temperature to:

  • 6500K for shade and cloud cover
  • 5500K for natural daylight
  • 3500k for twilight (dawn and dusk)
Step 4:

Brightness

🌓 Steps to make the image brighter or darker.
Too Dark: Brighten the Image

Increase [+] the Exposure Compensation to +0.3, +0.7 or +1.0

Too Bright: Darken the Image

Decrease [-] the Exposure Compensation to -0.3, -0.7 or -1.0

Check Highlights: Zebra (95+)
🧙 Zebras can help you determine whether or not the highlights in the image are too bright (overexposed).
