Navigating the Course

Pick a filming scenario, then follow the step-by-step walkthrough to setup your camera.

Video Recipes: Filming Scenarios

🧙 Select the video recipe (filming scenario) that best matches the type of video you want to make.

Click or tap the menu button in the top left hand corner of the page
Each video recipe (filming scenario) is represented by a thumbnail
Select a video recipe (filming scenario) you want to mimic

Camera Settings: Cheat Sheet

🧙 You can use the printable cheat sheet as a checklist or quick reminder when setting up the camera.

At the top of each video recipe (just below the description), you'll find a cheat sheet that summarizes all of the camera settings
Settings marked Optional give you more control over your camera and produce better results, but require more time and effort to set up
Click or tap the 'Print Settings' button to print

Camera Setup: Walkthrough Guide

Customizing the camera

I recommend these two ✌️ customizations to get the most out of your camera.

Quick Access Menu: Fn Menu

🧙 The quick menu (Fn menu) makes it easy to find and adjust frequently used settings that are buried deep within the menu system.

Press the Menu button
Navigate to the second tab, page number eight
Select Function Menu Set
Select one of the twelve function menu tabs
Then select the setting you want to place in the function menu

Natural Look: Creative Style

Press the Menu button
Navigate to the first tab, page number eleven
Select Creative Style
Press the right side of the control wheel
Then customize Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness
